藍染（Indigo dyeing） is a method of dyeing cloth blue with plants. Japanese people like “草木染（plant dyeing）”. Many Japanese find beauty in modest and warm tones. When you think of indigo dyeing, the first thing that comes to mind is navy blue, but it can be dyed in various shades of blue. I would like to dye cloth with a gentle blue color from fresh indigo leaves.

藍（The indigo plant） I planted in spring has grown so much!
I cut it leaving 15cm from the base.
Separate the leaves and stems. This time, we will perform “生葉染め”.
Grind with a mixer. quickly. If oxidation progresses, it will not be dyed.
I dyed cotton cloth.
It was dyed sky blue by exposing it to the sun and drying it with the wind.
